Frequently Asked Questions

It’s natural to have questions as you consider care. Below are the most common questions people ask regarding fees, insurance, payments, as well as how you will be treated as a client at Freedom Fighters Therapy.

  • There are several important differences to consider:

    1) Our therapists have specific training to work with the military and first responders. We can offer more attentive care and allow choices.

    2) More trusted relationships with higher-trained professionals. Unlike many military settings, you will not have to change therapists or be seen by interns that change with every visit.

    3) Not tied to your military records. At Freedom Fighter's Therapy, you have a safe place to share that does not have to be linked to your military records.

  • YES. We can offer a reduced plan in most situations. Please call or text our biller directly at (937) 998-4133 to arrange an affordable payment plan.

  • We understand that clients who come to us may be in dire circumstances. As such, you are encouraged to call our office to arrange a payment plan as soon as possible. Failure to pay could miss a scheduled session and/or terminate services.

Additionally, ongoing failure to pay for services already received could be sent to collections. We certainly don't want to end up in this situation, so please contact us right away if your financial situation changes.

Call or text our office at (937) 998-4133 ASAP to arrange a payment plan.

  • Unfortunately, no. We cannot offer a trial session for free.

However, we allow you to schedule a trial session with more than one provider before selecting your therapist.  A copay will still be required with each session (or insurance may cover)

Our client care staff is highly-trained to listen to your needs and match you with the therapist with the ideal background and expertise to support you. You will have an opportunity to meet with your therapist as part of the onboarding process and before starting therapy.

Like doctors or dentists, our trained therapists are mental-medical practitioners, and therefore, cannot provide mental diagnostic work at no charge.

Know that you are never 'stuck' and are encouraged to switch if things aren't working out as you’d hoped.

  • YES, this is indeed possible. Our therapists are trained in multimodal therapies and can work with your requests.

Our clinical staff is trained to assess and diagnose (same as your physician does). It's best to understand your symptoms before matching a care solution to treatment.

However, keep in mind that you may not accurately diagnose the best treatment for yourself. For example, when you visit your doctor, you may think you have strep throat, but then your family doctor does a check-up and testing, and it is determined that you actually have allergies. Your doctor then prescribes allergy medication vs. antibiotic, matching medication to symptoms. As mental health practitioners, we operate in the same manner.

  • Absolutely NOT. Our therapists are trained not to probe and instead observe signals that alert them that you have moved to a space of trust and seem ready. We teach you to handle disclosure with our help and in a natural therapeutic flow. We focus on psycho-education (awareness and skills) and encourage medication management only if needed.

At Freedom Fighters Therapy, you will find care that's right for you.
